United States of America

After the first two stages have been successfully completed, DHL will fly the solar car to America. The team will receive their solar chariot for the next stage of and will make their way through the United States of America (USA). The country is divided into 50 states and the third largest country in the world (measured by surface area and population). It is bordered by Canada to the north and by Mexico to the south. The previous SolarCar team members are already familiar with the United States, because they were lined up in the years 2008 and 2010 as the only German team at the American Solar Challenge.

The route in the United States will begin in California (San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego) and extends from Arizona (Tucson), through Texas (San Antonio, Houston) and Louisiana (New Orleans) to Florida (Miami, Jacksonville). Finally the SolarWorld GT will fly from South Carolina (Charleston) to Europe.
