Our progress towards becoming a sustainable university is a continuous journey. This ambition began over ten years ago, with the creation of our mission statement: 'We view ourselves as a university of applied sciences dedicated to sustainability, where the essential principle of sustainable development is interwoven throughout the entire organisation, encompassing teaching, research, infrastructure, processes, and the conduct of every member of the university.' This initial step was followed by a series of projects and the launch of our sustainability programmes. In our transformation into a fully sustainable university, areas such as teaching, operations, knowledge exchange, internationalization, digitalization, research, continuing education, communication, collaboration, and expertise are all key. In the summer of 2021, we embraced our sustainability strategy, which we are now actively implementing.
