Community Health Conference

The 9th Community Health Conference will take place on Thursday and Friday, 19 and 20 November 2026 at the health campus (Gesundheitscampus) of Bochum University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Bochum).

The Community Health Conference focuses on the question of what conditions can be created and what concrete measures can be taken, to enable everyone to participate in health.

The conference examines initiatives and approaches to health promotion, prevention and care from various perspectives, taking into account the needs and requirements of specific population groups. Through interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and participatory approaches, community health opens up potentials and resources that contribute to reducing social and health inequalities and discrimination.

The conference creates spaces for collaborative discussions, concrete action and networking. It provides impetus for the further development of health-promoting processes and structures in various areas of life for specific communities and contributes to the implementation of community health in everyday life, practice and science.
