Our Department offers Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in both Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. Our bachelor's programmes enable our students to start their careers as civil or environmental engineers at an early stage. You can also continue your studies with our Master's programmes for a more advanced degree.

Here you will find a friendly atmosphere, short distances and direct contact between lecturers and students.

In addition to face-to-face courses, we also offer online courses and a well-developed e-learning programme.

The key element of our online teaching is the Moodle e-learning system. All students are encouraged to use the information provided in the Moodle course: Studying in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

Our 7-semester Bachelor's degree programmes are both practical and engineering-oriented. They start in the winter semester.

Our 3-semester Master's programmes in Civil and Environmental Engineering start flexibly in the winter or summer semester and build on the Bachelor's programmes. The programmes are characterised by a high degree of freedom in the choice of specialisations, which continue from the Bachelor's programmes. A large number of modules are embedded in the department's current research projects. As a result, the Master's degrees enable students not only to enter a highly demanding professional career, but also to continue their academic career in the form of a doctorate.

**The Master's degree programme in Environmental Engineering with a specialisation in Geothermal Energy Systems is taught entirely in English.
