BO Academy – Learning. Teaching. Further education.
The BO Academy is the joint home of the departments of Learning and Teaching, and Further Education at the Bochum University of Applied Sciences. Founded in January 2025, the BO Academy provides a varied program to support students, teachers, faculty staff and professionals in the development of their skills in the areas of learning, teaching, and further professional qualification. The BO Academy originated from the merger of the Center for Teaching and Learning (formerly at the Bochum Health University of Applied Sciences) and the Institute for Academic Success and Didactics.
At the BO Academy, we provide you with courses to hone your interdisciplinary skills and gain further academic qualification, including:
- extracurricular orientation, education and support for students before they start their studies, during the initial study phase and throughout the course of their studies;
- curriculum-based qualifications and education for students both in their initial study phase and throughout their studies;
- support, further training and opportunities for exchange with a focus on university didactics for teaching staff
- academic further education for professionals, organisations and interested parties.
The BO Academy is a central, service-oriented institution. In addition to our own courses and services, we also feature those of our cooperation partners on our platform.
