Section 8: Building and Property Management

Section 8 manages the university’s own and leased premises to ensure the smooth running of teaching, research and administration operations across all campuses. In addition to technical services, caretaker services and the supervision of extensive construction and refurbishment projects, its remit also includes, amongst other things, the issue of access cards, house rules and organisational services.

The Section is divided into four divisions:

• Campus Development and Building Management (CEGM)
• Campus development projects, as well as construction and refurbishment works
• Commercial Building Management (KGM)
• Financial and organisational tasks relating to the buildings
• Technical Building Management (TGM)
• Technical management of the buildings, including workshops and building maintenance
• Infrastructural Building Management (IGM)
• Caretaker services and other infrastructural tasks within the university’s operations.
