Just Social for Incoming Students
Just Social is the official communication channel of Hochschule Bochum.
Incoming students at Campus Velbert/Heiligenhaus can use Just Social to receive important information and to join the official incoming students group.
You can use it as a desktop version or download it as an app as well.

After your registration, please contact us so that we can add you to the group.
Quick Guide: Just Social
- Step 1: Open the registration page
Go to: https://ws02.hs-bochum.de/just/social
Click on “Zur Registrierung”.
- Step 2: Log in with your university account
Enter your university username and password.
Then click on “Anmelden”.
- Step 3: Check your data
You will be redirected to a page where you can check your personal data.
Please make sure that the information is correct.
- Step 4: Create your Just Social password
Create a new password and enter it twice:
- Passwort
- Wiederholung
- Step 5: Confirm the registration
Select the checkbox to agree to the data transfer.
Then click on “jetzt registrieren”.
- Step 6: After registration
Your Just Social account is now created.

You can also use the Just Social app.
You can also use Just Social in your browser.
After your registration, you can log in to the Just Social portal.
In the “Channels” section, you can choose which news you would like to receive.
You can subscribe to relevant channels and manage notifications for new messages.
When you open Just Social, you will see your personal newsfeed.
The newsfeed shows news and updates from the channels you have subscribed to.
We have several groups for the Campus. Starting autumn 2026 we will have a special group for incomings. There you can connect with one another and share tips.

Just Social can also be used for chats and groups.
You can create your own chat groups and use them to communicate with other students.
