Information About Starting Your Studies
Please note: This information is still preliminary! You'll find more specific details here in the coming weeks.
- Initial Information and a Barbecue on Campus
- On Thursday, October 1, there will be a small welcome event on campus. You will receive some initial information. Afterward, there will be a barbecue with the student council.
- We'll start around 10:00. The barbecue will probably begin around 12:30.

- Orientation days
- The Orientation Days will last from October 1 up to October 8. You’ll receive plenty of information, take a campus tour, and participate in recreational activities.
(remember: on October 5 the regular courses will start, too. - You will find the concrete program here soon.

moodle
Moodle is Bochum University of Applied Sciences’ central learning platform. This is where instructors, for example, upload content and materials for their courses. Be sure to sign up!
WLAN
The Wi-Fi on campus is called eduroam. You may already be familiar with it from your previous university. You can find the instructions here.

Die Just-App
Our communication channel for “unofficial” matters. To be used for emergency communication in the event of a hacker attack. Download the app, register, and send an email to cora.brose@hs-bochum.de to be added to the CVH group.
