Housing near CVH
Heiligenhaus is only a stone’s throw away from Wuppertal, Essen and Düsseldorf — while still offering a quieter environment and more reasonable accommodation prices.
Finding accommodation near Campus Velbert/Heiligenhaus can take some time. The student residence directly next to the campus is the most convenient option, but the number of available rooms is limited.
Students should therefore also consider private rooms, one-room apartments, shared flats and furnished student housing in Heiligenhaus and nearby towns with good public transport connections to CVH.

Living next to campus
The student residence is located directly next to Campus Velbert/Heiligenhaus and is the best option for students who want to live close to the university.
However, places are limited. Students should apply as early as possible and should not rely only on the student residence.

Private accommodation
Private housing options may include one-room apartments, shared flats, furnished rooms or private student housing.
Most private apartments are unfurnished. Please check carefully whether furniture, internet, heating and additional costs are included in the rent.
When applying for private accommodation, landlords may ask for documents such as proof of enrollment, proof of income or financial support, a copy of your passport and sometimes a German SCHUFA report.
