Semester contribution
The semester contribution for winter semester 2026/2027 is 376,80 €. It includes
- Student Services (Akafö) 130,00 €
- Student representation (AStA-Beitrag) 20,00 €
- a ticket valid throughout Germany for local public transport worth 226,80 €.
The re-enrolment starts on 15 June 2026 and ends on 17 August 2026.
As student at Hochschule Bochum you are required to pay the semester contribution each semester (regardless of ticket usage or class attendence).
Notes on the semester contribution
- The semester fee may vary due to changes in the ticket price. Please check your student portal for binding information on the fee.
- The Semester ticket is not available to students in Verbund courses.
- The Verbund course "Business administration (Bachelor)" charges an additional fee of 108,47 € per semester.
- The Verbund course "Economics and Engineering (Bachelor)" charges an additional fee of 107,31 € per semester.

Without re-enrolment, you are not entitled to sit examinations! A current certificate of enrolment must be presented in order to sit an examination!
