Open the enrolment page:

Bochum University of Applied Sciences – Enrolment for International and EU Applicants

Then:

1. Log in using your applicant credentials.
2. Open your admission notification.
3. Start the online enrolment (matriculation) process.

You will generally need:

1. Identification
   1. Passport or national ID card
2. University Entrance Qualification
   1. Secondary school diploma / high school certificate
   2. Certified translation (if required)

3. Language Certificate (if applicable)

   Language Certificate

4. Previous Academic Records (if applicable)

   For Master's applicants:

   1. Bachelor's degree certificate
   2. Transcript of Records

   If you previously studied in Germany:

   1. Exmatriculation certificate(s)
   2. Academic transcripts

Always check your admission letter because additional documents may be required for your specific programme.

In the applicant portal:

1. Upload all required documents.
2. Ensure scans are complete and clearly readable.
3. Verify that no required document is missing.
4. Review your personal information (enter any missing details).
5. Confirm the information provided
6. Submit the online enrolment application. 

Incomplete documentation may delay or prevent enrolment!

This is a mandatory requirement in Germany.

Your health insurance provider must send an electronic notification (M10 notification) directly to the university.

Provide the following university sender number to your insurance company:

Studying at Main campus & CVH:H0000683

Studying at Health campus:H0000240

If you have German statutory health insurance:

• Contact your health insurance provider.
• Ask them to send the electronic student insurance notification to Bochum University of Applied Sciences.

If you have private health insurance:

• Contact a German statutory health insurance provider first.
• They will verify your insurance status and send the required electronic notification.

Enrolment cannot be completed without this insurance confirmation.

Once we have received your request for enrolment, you will receive a notification to pay the semester contribution.

Follow the link to learn more about the semester contributionand the bank account information. 

When making the payment:

• Use the reference specified by the university (usually your applicant number or applicant ID).
• Ensure the payment arrives before the enrolment deadline.

The university will review:

• Your uploaded documents
• Health insurance notification
• Semester contribution payment

Once all requirements are fulfilled, your enrolment will be officially completed.

After successful enrolment, you will receive access to university systems and can download:

• Certificate of enrolment (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung)
• Student certificates
• Semester documents
• Germany Ticket information
• Other university services

After enrolment, be sure to check your department’s website regularly. It is the best source of information for the start of your studies and will provide important details about orientation and welcome events, introductory sessions, course registration, and the start of lectures.
