During the studies
The study offices are your point of contact for all questions relating to your studies. They will assist you with enrollment and re-registration, examination matters, deadlines, and forms, as well as with study and module descriptions.
For program-specific topics, the contact persons for your study program will be happy to help you.
The ZSB is an important point of contact during the initial phase of your studies and beyond. Here you can find tips for self-study, the “BO to Go” podcast with topics relevant to your studies, and you can turn to your peers, students from higher semesters, in a trusting environment. It's worth taking a look at their website
The Central Student Advisory Service also has a wide range of courses on Moodle, which can be found under “Course Search” – simply enter the keyword ZSB.
In our studies and private lives, we sometimes encounter challenging situations that are difficult to cope with alone.
Psychosocial counseling is available to students of all degree programs/locations at Bochum University of Applied Sciences if they need to talk or are in crisis situations.
The student councils represent students in university committees, organize events, networking, and mentoring programs, and support their fellow students with program-specific tips and advice. They also provide learning materials and coordinate study groups to help students organize their daily study routine together.
The AStA is the central student representative body and is elected by the student parliament. It represents all students at the university, provides advice and support on study-related, social, and financial matters, and organizes events and activities on campus to enrich student life.
