The week before the semester starts, we traditionally have our Welcome Days for new exchange students.

The Welcome Days for the Summer Semester 2024 will take place from April 5 – 6, 2024. As the participation in the Welcome Days is important for a successful stay, attendance is compulsory during these days. So please make sure that you arrive before the start of these days.

Saturday, April 6, 2024

• 12:00 am:  Workshop on important IT services for your studies in Bochum
•                 Campus Tour
•                 City Tour Bochum

During the week April 8 - 12, 2024: Bank account opening

Saturday, April 13, 2024: Day trip to Cologne

During these days, you will get to know your contact persons at the International Office and the departments, get your first orientation on campus and, of course, get to know the other exchange students. We will also support you with some organizational and official matters and provide you with lots of important information for a successful stay. There will also be plenty of fun, so in addition to the traditional city tour of Bochum, there is another exciting trip waiting for you.
